This is a perfect rainy day project!

Love this! Will be doing the studio/playroom….

We are now a month and a half into the new year and I have done very little in working toward my goals for this year. Though, over the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about my kids closets. They are a mess! Each has a single shelf with hanging rod from one end to the other. Both are jam packed with toys as well as clothing, most of which they have outgrown.

I have a budget, a very small budget at that, so I can’t afford to jump right into anything without planning. Looking around online I found this closet and I think it is a good jumping off point. What I love most is the wire basket for holding toys, shoe shelf, and maybe using the other shelves for books. I also love the two tiered hanging on each side with the shelves and drawers down the middle. I think the next step is to make a checklist of what each kids closet needs to accommodate. Then measure and sketch out the best layout, while researching the best, most cost effective, products to use. I like the closet systems that can adjust if needs change down the road, so I think custom made wood would not work for us.

Made the Errand Runner in the Foliage in Camellia fabric today.  It is a very lovely, feminine print.

The Errand Runner is perfect for when you are on the go.  Then when you get home, throw it and keys in a cute little basket by the front door.  They will be ready for you the next time you need to run an errand.

Yesterday we spent the morning at the playground.  We went home and got lunch. Then while I was trying to get the baby down for a nap (a late nap at that), I sat down with a desperately needed cup of coffee.  My 4 year old daughter looks at me and says “What are you doing?  Go to work“.  I asked her if it was ok that I took the day off and spent quiet time with her before we went to karate.  She reply’s “Um, whatever, you are the boss“.  She said it with such attitude.  It was hilarious!

I am so thankful for having days like this.  Being able to stay home with my children and contribute financially is a blessing.
